Senior Experten Services (SES)

Who are they?

As the Foundation of German Industry for International Cooperation, SES operates in more than 160 countries and most of its voluntary assignments are completed in developing and emerging countries. Retired professional experts including younger executives share or transfer their technical hands-on knowledge and experience in order to improve other people’s future prospects. More than 12 500 experts make up SES, and their strength is extensive, covering more than 50 industries and 500 occupations.

What do they do?

The main beneficiaries of the SES network’s expertise are small and medium-sized businesses, public authorities, professional and business associations, social and medical facilities, and institutions that provide basic education or vocational training. This follows the principle of helping people to help themselves. Whenever SES experts embark on an assignment, they are well prepared and insured. They develop their recommendations in close collaboration with the skilled workers at the host organisation. The experts show respect to confidential information and proprietary knowledge on all assignments they work on.

Why does YinC partner with them?

YinC seeks and engages with dynamic purposeful and sustainable global institutions. SES offers such a partnership and it is an honour and a privilege to work as their Honorary Representative in South Africa. I firmly believe that the SES program offers a solution that can assist South Africa’s crippling poverty, unemployment, and inequality crises. This funded program offered by Germany’s Ministry for Economic Development has a wealth of collective human resources and their “superpowers” can help us to strengthen and boost locally sustainable economic and social development.
